My Bio
I shoot people.
I shoot Film (mostly).
I shoot rangefinders (mostly too).

As you'll see from my gallery, i like to shoot black and white 'decisive moment' portraits and the occasional photo shoot with models or my partner.

I like to explore moments and moods and try to create spontaneous portraits that capture both the subject's mood and personality.

I hope that my photo shoots bring out the natural human being in my models instead of just letting the theme of the shoot dictate the outcome.

I love artistic nude photography (Bob Carlos Clarke is a big influence), street photography and generally obscure film photography. I love grainy, moody natural light nudes that make the viewer want to make up a story when they look at it. i hope to take some more photos in this style as time goes on.

I've recently come to a conclusion, somewhat difficult to admit to myself - while I love black and white film in all of it's wonderful range, and would choose it over digital any day of the week, I have finally admitted to myself that i just can't get on with colour films! I've tried cheap ones, expensive ones, fast ones and slow ones. I've tried them with old lenses, new lenses, rangefinders, SLRs, manual cameras, automatic cameras, bright light, low light, indoors out doors... you get the picture. While I'm more than happy to accept the grain and moody atmosphere black and white film provides, something hard-wired in me just wants my colou
